151121Photo #151121Segregated Cycleway needed Deansgate that will also allow for safer crossing towards Spinningfields.

At the very minimum the road should be repaved as in order to avoid potholes you to move very close to moving vehicles and sometimes block their way. Very frustrating and dangerous for both drivers and cyclists.

147742Photo #147742Dangerously narrow and congested busy street, with a lot of parked vehicles adding to the mix.
Ban all motorised vehicles (maybe just during the day to allow for deliveries - 7am-7pm), and make it exclusive to pedestrians/cycles.

147741Photo #147741Speeding cars/vans, very narrow road + pavement and a semi-blind bend leads to very dangerous overtaking.
There is no room to widen the road for cycle paths, so maybe we need a one-way system with Manchester/Wilbraham Rds to allow for a wide cycle path and pavement. And maybe invest in some speed cameras.

145210Photo #145210Approaching the Parkway East->West is very, very dangerous at busy times. There is a straight-on cycle path that cars simply ignore and cut straight in front of unsuspecting/trusting cyclist. The lights/stopline need bringing forward (Eastward), before the split in the lanes.Cycleway:

140250Photo #140250This short section of Longley Lane Leestone Road and Harper Road could actually be partitioned off just for cyclists and walkers - cars can access the tip through the industrial estate (Leestone Road). 139112Photo #139112Very very busy most of the time especially during rush hour. At regular intervals along the A57 between the Denton roundabout and the city centre there are pinch points where two lanes are crammed into a road that is barely wide enough. That means cyclists are stuck amongst the cars with nowhere to go. The heavy traffic leads to aggressive impatient driving which puts cyclists at risk.Cycleway:

136491Photo #136491Could be a cycle lane/path at least up to Winyards View junction because especially at school run times, cyclists have to cycle up the middle of the road (to avoid any opening car doors) it is also very unsafe where the traffic calming narrows the road near Charlton Close and Winyards View for cyclists, as vehicles often don't give way to cyclists at these points.Cycleway:

136153Photo #136153Pavement parking is a real problem here during term time. Parents drive down very narrow streets to get to the school, parking on pavements and double yellow lines. There are no school markings on the road outside the main gate. Children from another school also use the road as a walking route to their school nearby. Residents only parking would make a huge difference.Track:
