174399Photo #174399Whalley Range Manchester . UPDATE NOV 2021 It's bee upgraded to a cargobike hire stand as seen here #175992 also on Brantingham Rd. Seemingly random place for cycle parking. I suppose it prevents pavement car parking here . Maybe it'll be used in the new bike hire scheme to be launched this Autumn. news.tfgm.com/resources/kocku-gnyh8-qycki-q74es-3v5hp @berylbikesCycle parking:

174069Photo #174069The angle Minshull Street divides off the A6 causes fast turning traffic, dangerous for the many pedestrians crossing the city centre road, and conflict over the bus lane on the left, dangerous for cyclists and making it less useful for buses. A one-way closure arrangement with a contraflow cycle gate would be effective. Auburn Street is available just before the signals at the end of the road as an alternative access towards the Canal Street area for motor vehicles.Temporary closure:

Stop installing this rubbish. If antisocial motorcycle use is an issue, that is for the police to deal with. And if the police don't have the resources, it's a political issue.
