UPDATE THIS SECTION IS CLOSED OFF AGAIN from July31 2015 this diversion avoids the steps tinyurl.com/qhz3taa Manchester near Castlefield. Closure of tow path on Bridgewater Canal from Hulme Hall road to Cornbrook Road. No diversion signs or plan submitted by Peel

This is the route I took to divert bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx but this uses some steep steps. I thought about thumbing a lift from a passing narrow boat. see #44690 #44691 and #44692

The web site posted does not have any help or info www.bridgewatercanal.co.uk

Closure is for 2 months from 20 August but see #44689
