Chorlton Brook bridge a couple struggled to get their bikes over the horse-steps. They were on a 2 week holiday with camping equipment, one heavily loaded bike, one loaded bike with trailer; so it was difficult to get the former through kissing gates, quite impossible to get the latter through. Date 4th July. If Manchester wants to become the cycle capital of England, it does need consider accessibility of its off-road routes. The more legitimate users there are the less ASB. Obstacles discourage legitimate users and do not deter illegal off road bikers. Clear "No motorcycling" signs would be a start AND a first step towards prosecution of illegal off road motorbikers.
