A two way cycle route on the left, and a one way bus lane on the right. Buses enter this lane at speed from a 40mph dual carriageway. Cyclists heading towards the camera are supposed to ride near the white line, close to and unsegregated from oncoming buses. The cycle lane forms part of the TransPennineTrail NCN62 so is regularly used by cyclists who are unfamiliar with this arrangement.
