And where it is: motor vehicles can and therefore do straddle these and damage them at the edges. For cyclists they are hazards and make cycling more difficult and unpleasant. For trike users and/or people with mobility issues or who suffer pain from rough surfaces, speed cushions with no cycle-trike bypass can mean someone cannot use the route at all.
