This dark, unlit, narrow and filthy passageway with bollards at each end is on the Fallowfield Loop diversion. Would you use this at night?
The wear on the left shows that many people choose to ignore this annoying chicane, which also serves as a point at which to mug users.
The barriers have been replaced with something less stupid, but it's unbelievable in this day and age that Sustrans, a walking and cycling charity, feel this is at all appropriate. WE DO NOT WANT BARRIERS TO ACTIVE TRAVEL.
This side road crossing used to be quite good, but it's since been repainted incorrectly.. https://t.co/aHZYYVTJck
This is part of the diversion from the Fallowfield Loop while the bridge is being replaced, but the lack of dropped kerbs makes it inaccessible by bicycle or wheelchair.
The ludicrous barrier to the ramp onto the Fallowfield Loop. This discriminatory obstacle should be removed, immediately.
Hasty Lane: A solitary bollard (thank God it isn't a chicane) protects this overgrown and slippery ramp down to the tunnel beneath the motorway.
Hasty Lane: Once in the tunnel, however, the surface is much improved. This could be a valuable route if it were better taken care of.
A lack of maintenance has left this ramp in a disgusting and possibly dangerous condition. Reported.
'No Cycling', 'Slow' and 'Beware of Pedestrians' at a cluttered corner on the Ashton Canal. Not built for cycling, so important that the road network is adapted instead.
Opened by the Secretary of State for the Environment, but not a public right of way over the bridge.

Special walk-and-text lanes have been provided in Spinningingfields, Manchester - for one day only, it's actually a marketing stunt.
The cycleway here is narrow and the surface poor, but this isn't such a bad thing - go too fast here and you risk a head-on collision with another cyclist. I think the overgrowth needs cutting back though.
New cycle control for the crossing. Buttons are better than induction loops, which can sometimes fail to register the presence of a bicycle.

An interesting way to mark a cycle lane but the end result is that it's almost invisible to everyone, and completely invisible to those pedestrians with poor eyesight.

This cycle crossing is also perfectly placed for pedestrians, which invites conflict. It might be better to widen it significantly and remove all road markings - let people decide what they want to do.
